LEADERCAL is a set of actions on the promotion of rural areas that develops the Axis 4 of Regulation (EC) no. 1698/2005 of the Council, relating to aid for rural development through the European Fund FEADER (European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development).
At regional level, the LEADERCAL falls within the measures 413, 421 and 431 of Rural Development Program of Castile and Leon (2007-2013) of the Board of Castile and Leon.
LLEADERCAL raises the implementation of local development strategies that have as their main objective the promotion of the quality of life and economic diversification in rural areas, through aid to the promoters of such actions.
The implementation of these strategies is performed under the approach LLEADER that represents an alternative method and innovative of intervention in the rural areas based on the collaboration between the public and private sectors and in the ability of decision of the local population in the development and application a strategy of development adapted to the needs of each territory.
